Roger Ambroise St. Germain

May 1, 1930 — August 27, 2021

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Roger Ambroise St. Germain, age 91, on August 27, 2021.  He passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Carefor Hospice in Cornwall, Ontario.

He is survived by his Loving partner Therese Legault of 31 years and by two sisters Pauline Rochon (Jacques) and Bibianne Tessier (Clifford).

He will be sadly missed by Anne Legault-Payette (Daniel), Michel Legault (Joanne), Genevieve and Christian Legault and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife the late Marguerite (Lortie), by his father Wilfrid St. Germain and his mother Aquilla (Marcoux) and one brother Bernard (Claire) and one sister Rejeanne.

Roger had been retired for many years from the Hudson’s Bay Company.  Roger’s Hobbies included Golf, Curling, Hockey, Downhill skiing, Bowling for which he won many trophies and awards.  Golfing was his passion and his favorite past-time.  He also played the guitar was an avid photographer and loved to ride his motorcycle.

Roger was well loved by all he was a kind man with a big heart. He was dedicated to the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. He provided a supporting life-changing mentoring relationship to his little brother for several years.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation a private service will be held at a later date. His final resting place will be at the Notre-Dame Cemetery.

Special thank you to his nieces Michele and Christine for helping take care of Roger when he was ill.

Special thank you to Dr. Menon and to the nurses at the Cornwall Carefor Hospice for the care they provided to Roger during his stay at the hospice.
