Roland Marcel Lavallée

Roland Lavallée, connu par ses proches sous le nom de "Rolly", est décédé le 10 février 2021, à l'âge de 78 ans.  Roland est né le 17 juin 1942.

Roland était le fils des prédécédés Lionel et Cécile (Marier) Lavallée.  Il était l’époux de feu madame Joséphine (Thibeault).  Sa vie a été enrichie par sa famille.  Il laisse dans le deuil son fils Cliff (Carole) et sa fille Anne Lavallée, ses petits-enfants Robin, Chloé, Rayan et Sophia, ses frères et sa soeur Léo (Irène), feu Roméo (Lise), Aline (Richard) Fournier, et Armand (Linda), ainsi que ses neveux, nièces, belle-famille (Thibeault), cousins et amis.

Roland était un type gêné et réservé, mais toujours souriant et serviable. Il aimait le camping, le bateau et la pêche, que ce soit à Lavigne, à Mindemoya ou autre, et il était toujours prêt à partager.

Mécanicien débrouillard, Rolly n'avait pas peur de se salir les mains si la famille avait besoin de son aide.  Il était un mari qui soutenait sa famille en tant qu'homme à tout faire à la maison et se consacrait à son travail de chauffeur de camion.  Non seulement il voyait les besoins de sa famille, mais il transmettait son approche DIY à ses enfants.  Il avait également ses propres passe-temps. C’était un ‘gadget guy’ : Trains de loisirs, radios CB, appareils caméras-beta, tourne-disques.

Dans les dernières années, il aimait colorier, faire des mots croisés, des puzzles, de la photographie et regarder la messe à la télévision.  Au cours des deux dernières années, Rolly s’est fait un meilleur ami : le petit chien Djeçie, qui le suivait partout.

Roland Lavallée, known to friends as "Rolly," passed away on February 10th 2021, at the age of 78 years.  Roland was born on June 17th 1942.

Roland was the son of the predeceased Lionel and Cécile (Marier) Lavallée.  He was the loving husband of the late Joséphine (Thibeault).  He is survived by his son, Cliff Lavallée (Carole), and daughter, Anne Lavallée.  Roland will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Robin, Choé, Rayan, Sophia.  He will be forever remembered by his siblings: Léo (Irene), Late Roméo (Lise), Aline (Richard) Fournier, and Armand (Linda).

Roland will also be remembered by his nephews, nieces, in-laws (Thibeault), cousins and friends.

You could always count on Rolly for a little blush of the cheek and a huge smile when receiving a hug.  Uncle Rolly was prepared for camping, boating and fishing, whether it was in Lavigne, Mindemoya or a getaway.

Dad was not scared to get his hands dirty if the family needed mechanical help.  He was a supportive husband as a handyman around the house and was dedicated to his work as a truck driver.  Not only did he support his family, he passed down his DIY approach.

Roland also had his own hobbies. He was a ‘gadget guy’: Hobby Trains, CB radios, Beta-camera gear, Record player.

In the later years, ‘gadget guy’ was not done: he kept fidgeting with electronics but also kept busy with coloring, crosswords, puzzles, photography and TV church service.  In the last 2 years, Rolly had a new best friend, the family dog, Djeçie who followed him everywhere.
