Ronald Francis Croft

With sadness, we announce the passing of Ronald Francis Croft on July 26, 2024, at the age of 83. As he had wished, Ron passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his wife Margaret, parents Ernest and Louise and siblings Henry, Terry and Alice. He leaves behind his daughters Rhonda, Heather (James), Karen and Kelly (Derek), siblings Paddy (Louise), Florence (Cyril), Ernest Jr, Kevin, Dolores (Brian) and sister-in-law Rosena (Wayne). Ron was a proud Grandpa to Kaitlin, Johnny, Audrey, Charlie, Reed and Sydney, who will miss him greatly. Also leaving to mourn a very large extended family, longtime neighbours and many friends.

Ron moved from the small town of Aquaforte, Newfoundland, in the 1960s to Ontario, where he worked tirelessly to build his business alongside his brother Paddy. If you knew him, you knew he was always quick to offer a smile, a joke and a helping hand. We will remember him for his strength, tenacity and fierce independence. He loved to be around his family and especially enjoyed a big barbeque dinner in his backyard. In his last years, he found joy in his loyal cat companion, Pudding.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Glenn, Joy and Dina, who provided Ron with compassion, kindness and exceptional care in his final days.

As per his wishes, cremation has already taken place, and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
