Ronald Dalpe

Ron was a devoted family man, cherished for his unwavering integrity and deep moral character that resonated with everyone he met. His gentle demeanor, kindness, and sincere love for Beverley and their daughter Stephanie defined his life's purpose, regardless of their whereabouts. Today, as we gather to celebrate his well-lived life, Ron's remarkable legacy shines brightly in the hearts of his family, relatives, and close friends.

The date chosen for this celebration, close to Halloween, honors Ron's profound joy for this festive occasion—a testament to his vibrant spirit and love for making others smile. Among those mourning his loss are Stephanie's fiancé, Justin, along with Clark, Jack, Suzanne, Paul (Suzanne), Carole (Daniel), and his nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Réjeanne (née Laplante), and his father, Maurice Dalpé.

Ron dedicated himself to an honorable career as a Federal Public Servant, always ensuring his family's security. His meticulous office skills, nurtured over 36 years of dedicated service on Parliament Hill, were passed on to Stephanie, shaping her own successes. From prestigious state dinners to serving high-ranking officials, Ron's professional journey reflected his commitment to duty, country, and family until his retirement in 2008.

Ron and Beverley's love story began with their marriage in 1983, blossoming into a loving family with Stephanie's birth in 1988. Ron's nurturing presence extended to everyday routines like cooking, organizing outings, and supporting Stephanie's growth through various activities. Their family cherished moments at Ottawa Ex, his parents' camper in Morrisburg, and travels to Disney, the Dominican Republic, and beyond.

Ron's enthusiasm for Halloween was legendary, transforming their Chapel Hill home into a neighborhood attraction with elaborate decorations and spooky surprises. His creativity and love for festivities brought joy to children and adults alike, making October weekends memorable for all.

In 2019, Ron embraced life at Portobello Retirement Residence, where he received the care he needed amid his battle with Sporadic Inclusion Body Myositis. Despite challenges, Ron remained a beacon of grace, endearing himself to the community with his selflessness and kindness. Visits from Beverley, Stephanie, Justin, Clark, and Jack filled his days with love and laughter, creating cherished memories in his final years.

In a beautiful twist of fate in 2023, Ron and Beverley reunited under one roof, reaffirming their enduring love during a challenging time. Throughout their 44-year marriage, Ron's unwavering support and care for Beverley underscored their profound bond, exemplifying his commitment to family until his passing.

Ron's life story echoes with a message of faith and resilience, inspiring all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts he touched, reminding us to embrace life with grace and love.
