Ronald Brent Phillips

Ronald Brent Phillips was born on September 18, 1970 in Toronto, Ontario and passed away on March 12, 2022 after a courageous and very short fight.  As the warrior he was, we are relieved he can finally rest in eternal peace.

He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Joyce Phillips, his sister Karen Velocci (Randy Velocci), his nieces, Nicole and Haley, and his partner Genny Cho.

Do not cry for me. I will be okay.  The afterlife is my home now, and this is where I will stay.
Do not cry for me. I am where I belong.  I want you to be happy and stay strong.
Do not cry for me. It was just my time, but I will see you someday in the afterlife.
Do not cry for me. I am not alone.  The angels are with me to welcome me home.
Do not cry for me. I have no fear. All my pain is gone.
Do not cry for me. This is not my end.
I will be waiting here for you when we meet again in the afterlife.

There will be a cremation and a private celebration of life will take place with immediate family at a later date to honour his life.

We would like to thank the wonderful teams at Credit Valley Hospital (ED, 1G Flex, OA - Palliative/Oncology Units) and the Palliative and Oncology Care Teams in providing compassionate and professional care in supporting Brent through his very complex battle.
