SLOAN, Ronald Earle
Holding the hands of Barbara and Harrison, on March 14, 2017 in his 67th year, after only a few months following his brain cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Loving husband of Barbara for 29 years, cherished father of Harrison, baby brother of Stephen Slutsky (Irm), cousin of Rella, Lorna, Sarah (Jay), Debbie (James), Howard, Arthur (Kathleen) and David, son-in-law of Gladys and the late Louis Swetsky and brother-in-law of Eric Swetsky. Predeceased by parents Harry and Lala Slutsky.
Despite moving away from Montreal in his mid twenties, Ron never lost his passion for the city and the Laurentians. Considered the family historian and raconteur, Ron was a Renaissance Man who was born with Golden Hands; there was nothing he couldn't create, repair or renovate with style and precision. He enjoyed several successful careers and people were drawn to his outgoing personality. Family and friends meant the world to him and their support during his cancer treatments buoyed him. A celebration of Ron's life to follow later this spring.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Sunnybrook Foundation "Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research".
