ROSALIE MARY ROWSELL - August 22, 1925 to June 16, 2013

Rosalie Rowsell of Mississauga, Ontario passed away peacefully on June 16, 2013. Rosalie was born in Allan's Island, Lamaline, Newfoundland one of the four daughters of Thomas and Lillian Collins. She was predeceased by both her parents, her husband Leo, brothers Jim, Pat, Tom, Bill and John and her sisters Ellen and Marion. She is survived by her sister Catherine (Cal Mayo); children Patricia (Doug Dyball), Jerry (Linda) and Doug; granddaughters Jennifer (Dave Fitzsimmons) and Tina (Mike George) and great grandchildren Sean, Kianna and Gavin George; and Jack and Ethan Fitzsimmons. She will also be missed and remembered by Ian Fraser, Shannon Jack and Elias, Lauren and Josh Benmergui. As well as her many nieces and nephews and their families.

Rosalie's greatest strength came from her family and her happiest times were those spent with family. When it was no longer possible for her to live alone she moved into Malton Village Long Term Care facility in Mississauga where she enjoyed spending time with her "smoking buddies". Her legacy there will be "Rosalie's Rules" which were put in place after she was, unfortunately, trapped in an elevator. When she was eventually found, her sense of humour was still intact and she had her rescuers laughing.

A service will be held at 11:00 am in the chapel at Assumption Catholic Cemetery 6933 Tomken Road on the south east corner of Tomken Rd. and Derry in Mississauga followed by a reception and a celebration of her life on Thursday June 20, 2013.

Burial Date: June 20, 2013
