It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Rozanne Charlebois on August 13, 2023, at the age of 56. Rozanne's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Rozanne will be forever remembered by her beloved children, Valerie and Amy Weisflock, and her adored grandchildren, Eva and Rio. She will also be missed by her parents, Maurice (Mo) and Cecile Charlebois, her brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Rick) and Penny Charlebois, and her many other relatives and dear friends.
Born in Iroquois Falls on July 3rd, 1966, Rozanne's life was marked by a profound dedication to those around her. In her youth, she displayed a remarkable spirit of volunteerism, devoting over a thousand hours to helping people with disabilities at her local hospital. This selfless act of kindness was a testament to her caring nature and strong sense of community.
Rozanne's dedication to motherhood was at the core of her being. Nurturing her two children, Valerie and Amy, she not only imparted the virtues of compassion, determination, and resilience but also remained an active presence in their lives. Through her active volunteering at their school, she ensured she was consistently close to them, embodying her boundless love and commitment as a mother.
Throughout her life, Rozanne defied challenges with courage and determination. She pursued a career in biotechnology, graduating with honors from Canadore College at the age of 50. Her indomitable spirit led her to excel in her field until she was confronted with a rare autoimmune disease. Despite her illness, Rozanne's pursuit of knowledge never wavered, as she continued her education in accounting until 2021.
Rozanne's passions were as diverse as they were inspiring. An animal lover at heart, she filled her home with the companionship of numerous pets over the years, offering them love, care, and a second chance. Her creativity found expression in her love for crochet, where she crafted beautiful projects for friends and family. In her later years, she embraced the art of painting, leaving behind a legacy of artistic expression that mirrors her gentle and creative soul.
Rozanne Charlebois will forever remain in our hearts as a beacon of love, strength, and resilience. Her memory will continue to inspire us to live with the same compassion and zest for life as she did. Rozanne's spirit will forever shine brightly in the lives she touched.
