Ruby Viola Hickey

Ruby Viola Hickey passed away on Sunday May 27th after a short battle with lung cancer in Burlington in her 84th year.
Survived by Raymond, her loving husband of 60 years with whom she shared a wonderful, loving journey.
Beloved mother to son Barry, daughter Carla and her husband Danny. daughter Loriann, daughter Julie, daughter Joanne and her husband Leo and son Jamie and his wife Frietzen.
Adored by her 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
Survived by her dear sisters Doreen Carter (Dalhousie NB) and Theresa Maxelon (Fred Maxelon Guelph Ont)
Ruby was born in Dalhousie New Brunswick, the 2nd youngest of 10 children.
As a young family, annual summer vacations were spent "downhome"
Ruby lived life with a positive spirit and feisty attitude; she had a great sense of humor and was always looking for a great joke to share with her family and friends
She loved to play Bingo and on occasion could be seen at the local casino playing her slot machines.
Her enthusiasm for sports extended to her favorite Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jay teams
She will live in our hearts and souls forever
Visitation and memorial service will take place on Friday June 8th at the Bayview crematorium cemetery and mausoleum located at 740 Spring Gardens road Burlington
