With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Sally Pennock (nee Puodziukas), age 68 of Toronto, Ontario on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Baycrest Hospital in Toronto with her faithful husband by her side. After a valiant battle with Cancer, Sally is now at peace.
Sally was born in Toronto, Ontario to Julius and Elzbieta Puodziukas (deceased). She lived a full life and was especially fond of her early years growing up in the High Park area of Toronto. Sally was proud of her Lithuanian heritage, especially the rich history of music and dance. She was drawn to Camp Kretinga in Wasaga Beach and spent a number of years living and working in that community.
Sally was an avid quilter and over the years created visual masterpieces for her family and close friends. Her memory lives on in these labours of love.
Sally was predeceased by her parents Julius and Elzbieta, brothers Dr. Julius Puodziukas, and Dr. Edward Puodziukas (Nicole). She is survived by her husband Chris Morales, her son Michael Pennock, step-sons Andrew Morales (Danielle), Courtney Morales (Amy); Holden Morales (Tara), her sister, Della Valaitis (George) and her grandchildren, Kyrie, Quincy and Cameron who fondly referred to Sally as Mociute.
Sally will be missed by many friends, nieces and nephews, as well as cousins in Canada, U.S., UK and Lithuania.
At her direction, Sally was cremated and a memorial will be held at a future date.
Over her 4 year battle with Cancer, Sally was in the primary care of Dr. Adrian Sacher who led an extensive team of medical professionals at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. She asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the John Purkis Fund at the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation to continue Dr. Sacher’s research into treating Lung Cancer.
