Sandra Brown

On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, Sandra Jean Mary Brown died peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 67. Loving sister to Shelley Brown and her husband Murray McIntyre (Ottawa), Sharon Brown and her husband Tony Nicholls (Toronto), and Larry Brown and his wife Elaine Brown (Bowmanville). Cherished aunt to William and Lydia McIntyre, Colin and Robyn Nicholls, Tyler, Mandy and Ryan Brown. Predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Lydia Brown. Sandra leaves behind her cherished dog, Katie.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In memoriam, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.

Sandra was born in Deep River and moved to Ottawa in 1971 to pursue a career as an insurance claims adjustor, a career that would span close to 40 years. Sandra was a passionate gardener, avid sports fan, and animal lover. Sandra was known for her sense of humour, quick wit, and many artistic talents—photography, writing, and painting.

Sandra will always be remembered for her resilient spirit, grit and strength.
