Sandra McLeod, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed peacefully surrounded by family on November 17th, 2024, in Mississauga, Ontario.
Sandra was BAR NONE, a vibrant life force who was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. A lifelong golfer, she earned the Women’s Club Championship. She also loved to watch sports, especially her beloved Toronto Raptors and Blue Jays (whether they were winning or losing).
Sandra was a big lover of all genres of music and was just as happy at a loud stadium singing along to Queen or Neil Diamond as she was watching a small local band! And all the more if there was dancing involved. Sandra loved to dance and often outlasted the younger kids on the dance floor! She loved to travel to Europe with her friends, but especially to Florida every year with Lori and Paul (where there were shenanigans for sure)! She never missed a chance to celebrate the achievements of her grandchildren, whether in sports, dance, or academics. Sandra was well known for her love of laughter and fun, and few people who met her didn’t instantly fall in love with her—she made friends wherever she went!
Sandra is survived by her daughters Diane, Christine and Lori; her sons-in-law Steve, Roland, and Paul; her grandchildren Mitchell, Sophia, Ruby, Cailey, Zach, William and Melanie; her great-grandson Maxime; and her brother Donald.
She is predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Evelyn McClure (nee Hooper).
A celebration of life will be held for Sandra on Thursday, November 28, from 12-3 PM at St John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium in Mississauga.
Because Sandra was such a big animal lover, especially of “her” cats Rebel and Turbo, the family would like to ask that you consider donating to All Paws Pet Rescue in lieu of flowers.
