Scott Proudfoot Halliday, 51, of Toronto died Monday, July 15, 2013. Scotty, or Scotia as he was known, was born in Toronto on March 10, 1962. He and former spouse, Julie Green, married on January 28, 1994 in Hawaii and he is survived by their daughter, Heather Halliday.
Also surviving are his siblings, Eddie MacLeod of Nova Scotia, Betty Gemmell of Don Mills, Robert MacLeod of Holland Landingand Jaqueline Hallidayof Brampton, and several nieces and nephews.
Scotty’s parents, William Halliday and Victoria Halliday (nee Severance) preceded him in death.
Scotty was a long time resident of the Greater Toronto Area, most notably Robillard Road in Mississauga. He worked as an inside sorter for Canada Post for his entire work career.
Scotty loved to skydive and with his four way team, the Glowsticks, was a world class competitor and Canadian National Team Member. Additional Scotty enjoyed BASE jumping for years, topping it off by jumping at Angel Falls.

There will be an informal memorial on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at The Good Neighbours’ Club 170 Jarvis Street, Toronto, however the Celebration of Life memorial will be held on September 21, 2013 starting in the afternoon at the Parachute School of Toronto at 5714 Smith Blvd, Baldwin, ON
