Sebastiana Dora Ceballo

Sebastiana Dora Ceballo, age 84 of RIchmond Hill passed away on December 12, 2018 with loved ones by her side. Some knew her as Dora, Mrs. C. Bee-Bee; others as Grandma and to a few "Makkin". She peacefully said her good-byes to her brother, Lawrence, her four daughters, Annette, Kathleen, Deborah, Marlene and to her son, Stephen. She parted with her 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She will live on in spirit through Scott, Matthew, Marcus, Amelia, Myles, Stephen, Kayla, Isiah, Maiya, Tyler and Raegene.
Dora was the matriarch and glue that kept the family together; always seeing the brighter side of things. She pushed positivity, love and growth into our minds and spirits in the Ceballo household. Nothing was impossible, if you put your mind to it.
Born and raised in Trinidad, West Indies, Dora immigrated to Canada at a very young age to start a new life. Canada's gain was England's loss. She adapted to the Canadian lifestyle, but ALWAYS with a WEST INDIAN flare. Many of us can attest to and begged for her famous sweetbread, roti, fried bake and salftish. Of course, there was the traditional and infamous Christmas cake with the fruit that was soaked from the year prior in rum.
She wore many hats to further her education and would go through great lengths to provide for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and personal support worker to many seniors in the community.
The Ceballo family would like to give loving thanks to the nursing staff at Chartwell Aurora Resthaven for their extra special care that they gave to their "Caribbean Queen".
A private ceremony will be held with a Celebration of Life to take place in January 2019. Further details to follow.
