Sharon Coleman

With great sadness and much love, we announce the passing of Sharon, on January 12, 2025, with her devoted family by her side. Her legacy is one of love, optimism, kindness, and integrity.

Predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Margaret Coleman. Sharon will be missed by her five siblings: Tim (Rieta); Mary Ann (Philip); John (Maureen); Chris; Beth (Paul); and her much-loved nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends. 

Sharon leaves her three children whom she loved to pieces: Luke, Cole (Kate), Tori, and their loving father, Tim Singleton, with whom she proudly raised their family.

In 1978, Sharon moved to Toronto to pursue her education and develop her career. She landed her dream job at the Royal York Hotel, and as her career progressed, Sharon enjoyed various senior HR roles. She was a trusted colleague, mentor, and leader; and treasured the many fun memories of her working life and the people within it. 

Sharon treasured every moment spent with her kids and was so grateful for their care, support, strength, and companionship. She loved the trips and adventures with her kids by her side as well as spending time with them at home, at the cottage, and attending family events.

Sharon’s quick wit and practical advice will be missed by all who have been privileged to know her. She was a kind and considerate person who was guided by the Golden Rule. 

Funeral will be held on January 21, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church (Toronto) with reception to follow. Interment at St. Matthew's Catholic Cemetery (Alvinston) on January 22, 2025 at 11:30 AM and celebration of life to follow at the Alvinston Community Centre.
