Sharron-Mae Katherine (Wood) Bentsen

January 18, 1978 — July 14, 2020

Sharron-Mae Katherine Bentsen (nee Wood) - Passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on July 14th, 2020 at the age of 42 years. She bravely fought Thyroid Cancer, Fibromyalgia and Migraines for thirteen years but is now in heaven with Jesus, happy, healthy and pain free, together with those who have gone before. She is survived by her best friend Joey Whyte, her parents Robert and Rhoda Wood, her brothers Steve and Brian (Ashley Coburn); brother-in-law Brian Schwass, her loving Aunts & Uncles, Ella (Mel) Lemessy, Gladys (Jim) Millson, Maxine (Gary) Murphy; Marjorie (Daniel) Johnston, Gail (Lawrence) Wicks; Victor Scharger as well as loving Cousins, Mel Jr. Lemessy, Benjamin (Claire) Millson & family; Elizabeth (Steve) Cathcart; Morgan (Darryl) Donneral & family, Laura (Sean) Connolly & family; Angela (Eric) Lee & family, Kristen Parsons, Brendan (Deborough) Duclos & family, Christopher (Carol Ann) Wicks & family; Stephen Wicks & family, Jonathan (Christine) Wicks and family; Margaret (Jason) Hogan & family; Tyler, Leanne and Laura Schwass, Madilyn Coburn; the O’Brien Family, Paul (Shirley) & family, David (Diana) & family, Daniel (Catherine) & family, John (MaryLou) & family, who, along with her many friends and acquaintances, will miss her loving nature, wit and smiling face. Sharron is predeceased by sister Tracy Schwass and Aunt Brenda Duclos (Scharger). Most of Sharron’s life was spent at her family home in Innisfil.  In her early years she was a “Brownie”, a “Girl Guide” and a “Pathfinder”.  As a Girl Guide, her Company held camp outs and nature walks in our back yard. As a Pathfinder, she attended many fairs at which she showed our goats and particiapted in Milk Out Competitions.  This involved camping out at the fair grounds the night before which was always fun but not so good for sleeping.  At one of her first “Best in Show” Competitions, Sharron carefully set up her goat then wondered how come her goat was sniffing the other goat’s butt... she quickly realized her goat was headed the wrong way... everybody had a good laugh.  Goats normally give birth in the cold weather so warming up the babies can be a challenge, but not for us.  We would bring them in and tuck them in bed with Sharron.  She’d cuddle them until they were warm then we’d take them back to their mom for a nice warm drink of colostrum. I don’t know which Sharron enjoyed more, animals or swimming, but from the time she was a baby she loved the water. She also loved flowers, puzzles, movies, board games and video games. Sharron was very loving and sentimental, unafraid to beautifully express her caring thoughts in word, writing  and art.  She used these qualities in serving her customers in her Print Post Business after she achieved her Graphic Artist Diploma at Georgian College.  We will all miss you Sharron, but we will see you again when we join you in heaven for eternity. In accordance with her wishes, Sharron has been cremated.  A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. Online condolences and your special memories may be left at www.funeralhome.on.ca.
