Sheila Mary Brown

After over a decade fight against Parkinson’s disease, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shelia Mary Brown. 

Daughter of the late Verna and Thomas Cartier. Survived by her loving husband Ken Brown, mother to Steve Brown, Michael Brown, Diane Clarke (Travis Clarke) and Darren Brown. Loving grandmother mother to Tara Galley (Ryan Galley) Stephanie Brown (Chris Duncan), Emily Clarke and Serena Clarke. Beloved Great- Grandmother to Danton Meunier, Hannah Galley and Kaedyn Galley.

Survived by her siblings Marie D’Angelo (Ralph D’Angleo), Therese Cartier (late John Crosariol), Keith Cartier (Donna Scanlan), Vera Van Kolfschoten (John Van Kolfschoten), Joe Cartier (Tammy Cartier), Bernadette Simard (Reg Simard), Kevin Cartier and the late Jim Cartier (Helen Cartier) And all her nieces and nephews.

Shelia always had an open ear for anyone and everyone, a great listener and loved to reminisce about her childhood and growing up in Barrie and other special times and memories in her life.

She had a great love for the outdoors, vacationing in Cuba and bird watching, especially the hummingbirds. She always knew when they were coming for the season and when they are leaving for the south. 

They held a special place in her heart and when you see your first one in May think of her, she’d like that.
