MacLEOD, Sheila Mary Ann Ellen Doreen
With heavy hearts the family announce Sheila's sudden passing on April 14, 2018 in London University Hospital. Age 30. With partner, Collin, her brothers Shane and Stuart at her side and with love surrounding her from mom and brother Scott in Thunder Bay, she was quietly released from suffering. A unique, loving and caring spirit made her unforgettable - a true angel who has now gone home.
Sheila is survived by her Mother, Shirley (Charles) MacLeod; brothers, Scott (Melissa), Shane, Stuart of Winnipeg; partner of 10 years, Collin (Thibault); nephews, Ronin, Ash, Barron; uncles, aunties and relatives in Scotland and Canada. She'll be remembered as a special niece and cousin; by colleagues from ALS Environmental Lab and past Starbucks customers where she had been the manager; fur baby's Foxy and Fin; countless friends.
Predeceased by her Father, Kenneth, in 2011; many family loved ones gone before her in both Scotland and Canada.
She graduated from PACI and Con College Environmental Studies, Thunder Bay, and her ALS employer remembers Sheila as a real asset, a leader, beautiful spirited and smart with an eye for detail. This unique and kind woman made friends easily, loved time at the family White Birch Beach camp on Lake Superior, traveling to Scotland, her owl collection, photography, nail polish, a trip with mom and dad on the Interstate to NY, concerts, music, watching movies with her brothers, time with her mom, playing with her nephews, being with her childhood sweetheart, Collin - a quiet loving person with a great sense of humor - never to be forgotten.
A celebration of our beloved Sheila's life will be held in Grace Church, 289 Court St. N, Thunder Bay, on Saturday, June 23 at 2 pm with Celebrant, Diane Axent, her cousin from NS, officiating. A reception to follow in the Church Hall. Graveside Interment on Sunday June 24 at 2pm.
The family wish to thank everyone for their continued love and support as Sheila bravely faced her illness with tremendous courage and faith. They ask those wishing to honor her life to make a donation to the Canadian Liver Foundation and especially give the gift of life by signing your Organ Donor Card.
