Sheila PHILLIPS aged 76 died March 15, 2018 at Rockcliffe Care Community, Toronto, Ontario. Cherished mother of Sandra (Wray), Glenn, and Darryl (Christine). Dear Nana to Jennifer (Matthew), Brianne (Taka), Lee, Alicia (Dalton), Danielle (Jesse), and Nicholas. Great-grandma to Ethan and Leo. Predeceased by brother Jack, she will be deeply missed by sister Gladys Macdonald, and former husband Tab MacDonald.
Born June 29, 1941 in Osgoode, Ontario to Herb Phillips and Muriel Richardson (nee Crowder), Sheila grew up in the Ottawa area, joining Scotiabank at age 17. Following her marriage she raised her family in Richmond Hill, and was an active member of the Richmond Hill Jaycees, Thornhill Lionettes, and the Richmond Hill Curling Club.
After retirement she resided in Trenton, and finally Peterborough, always in the company of her dogs, and making good friends along the way.
A celebration of life will be held at a date to be announced. If desired, donations in her memory may be made to Diabetes Canada, CAMH, or your local humane society.
I fall asleep in the full and certain hope that my slumber shall not be broken; [...] but continue that life in the thoughts and deeds of those I have loved.
