Shonagh McNeill

Shonagh McNeill, 52, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away on February 7, 2025.

Shonagh was born on July 29, 1972, in Toronto to Ian McNeill and Geraldine Smeeth. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Shonagh was extremely passionate about supporting local dog rescues with a particular soft spot for senior dogs. Her kindness and dedication touched the lives of both the people and animals she cared for.

She is survived by her loving children, John and Christine (Kyle), her cherished grandchildren, Elliott, Samantha, Nora, and William; her father, Ian (Margaret) and brother, Gavin; Her mother, Geraldine, and her siblings, Daniel and Kate. Shonagh’s love and generosity will be fondly remembered by all that knew her. 

A memorial service will be held on March 8th at St. John’s Dixie at 12:00PM to honor her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a local dog rescue in her memory.
