Socrates Theophilos

It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to to our beloved father, husband, grandfather (Papou), brother, uncle and amazing friend. The ultimate philosopher and story teller, who made friends wherever he went. A kind and sweet man who loved life, family and travel.
He began his first journey at age 15 when he left Famagusta, Cyprus for England and eventfully found his way to Canada. He met his loving wife Violetta at a wedding in Toronto in 1965, where they married and began their family. They created a wonderful home with lots of love and laughter for their children. They would have been married 57 years this July but the lord called him home on June 1, 2022.

Socrates was born March 9, 1934. The fifth son to Theophilou and Adrianna Protopappas, he is survived by his devoted wife Violetta, loving children Peter (Ann Marie), Adrianna (Aristos), Dimitrios, his beautiful and precious grandchildren Ethan and Cassandra and his beloved living siblings Nicolas, Michael, Efterpi aka Peppy, Anna and Kyriaki. He also was an amazing brother-in-law to Ephrosini, Vrasidas, Costas and Christos. Now he is in the arms of our heavenly Father and savior Jesus Christ and no longer suffering. He touched the hearts of so many and will never be forgotten. This is not goodbye forever but goodbye for now.
