Stephen (Istvan) Patkos

We are sad to announce the passing of Stephen (Istvan) Patkos who died peacefully in his 95th year at home surrounded by close family.  He leaves his wife Ellen of 59 years and will be sadly missed by daughter Ilonka (James), son Andre (Donna), and grandchildren Natasha (Brian), Cameron, & Kendra.

Stephen was a dedicated family man, whose hobbies included work and then more work. He loved walking, nature, reading, travelling and appreciated the simple things in life that many take for granted. His warm and loving personality as well as his genuine interest in others always left a lasting impression.

A heartfelt thanks go to all Acclaim staff and their support.  Without these wonderful people the wishes of our family to have him spend his remaining days at home could not have been possible. Special gratitude goes to PSWs Juliana, Usha, Jocelyn, Nancy and Soloman for their dedication to his daily needs as well as palliative nurse Christopher and all the other caring nurses who ensured that he was comfortable.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
