It is with great sadness to announce that Steven Macdonald died on January 7th, 2021 @ 3am. with his beloved wife Denise Tripp and Cosmo the dog by his side.
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland on March 7th, 1963, he came to Canada in 1967 and embraced the great outdoors and was an avid football, lacrosse, hockey player and pub crawler. He was a proud Scot and Canadian.
Son of Stuart Macdonald and the (late) Cathy (Brydon) Macdonald, Brother to Stuart Macdonald Jr. (Holly), Father to Colin Macdonald (Becky), Cameron Macdonald, and Connor Macdonald (Alana), and grandfather of six. He will be greatly missed by all his family, friends, and loved ones, and all over the globe.
He is now at peace after a year-long battle with a vicious form of stomach cancer. He fought long and hard. He was strong and brave right to the end!
PER MARE PER TERRAS,
Steve did not want anything fancy and during these difficult times we are restricted on any celebrations of life. A small memorial will be held for immediate family. Steve was a union man and adamant that everyone should have a trade. He was a member of the Painters and Allied trades/Glaziers/ Steelworkers, Maintenance & Construction Skilled Trades Council with the TDSB. Steve talked about starting a bursary for an eligible student to gain his/her ticket in the trade of his choice.
Feel free to donate to: STEVE'S SPONSOR A STUDENT IN TRADE SCHOOL (Go Fund Me Page)
He does NOT want a memorial tree and was very adamant about that - in place of a tree please donate to his send a kid to trade school fund.
