Stuart Samuel Christopher Simpson
February 24th, 1961 - January 31st, 2024
Take Care Of Each other, Cause That's All We Got." - Stu
Remembered by many people around the world who were lucky enough to know him. Known to be the most caring, loving, stubborn man, that would never ask for help but give you the shirt off his back. Not just like the saying, but actually give you the shirt off his back.
One memory his daughters will remember so vividly, and the biggest lesson he ever passed on to them. "Circa 2001 - walking downtown Barrie at Kempenfest, a homeless woman was sitting in front of a store with no shoes on and a dirty old shirt that was too small. Dad took me off his shoulders, removed the shirt and shoes off of his body, and handed it to the woman. Meanwhile, all the other parents were crossing the street with their kids to avoid her. I will never forget the lesson this imposed on me at 5 and my sister at 7 years old."
Many around the world remember "Uncle Stu", a self-made character, built on love, to provide family, where family was needed. No matter DNA.
When the days come that your heart hurts a little too much in memory of Stu, put on Neil Young and remember the sound of his contagious laugh.
Stuart leaves behind his pride and joy, his daughters "The A-Team", Ashley Corcoran, Amber Simpson and Allanah Simpson.
His heart and soul, his grand children "The E-Team", Emmett and Elliott Quinn.
His loving siblings, Leslie & (Randy) Way, Peggy & (Rob) Kropf, and Phil Simpson.
His best friend, and mother of his children, Kandy Tatum.
Missed by many nieces and nephews, lucky enough to have "Uncle Stu".
Stuart was met at heaven's gates with open arms by his late mother and father, Peg and Jim Simpson.
Followed by his nephew and best bud, with a beer in hand, Jay Way.
A memorial service will be held on Friday March 8, 2024 at 2pm at Basic Funerals - Jennett Memorial Centre, 152 Bradford Street, Barrie.
