Susan Massey (nee Rogers)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Massey (nee Rogers) at the age of 62 on January 2nd 2022 at Sunnybrook Hospital’s Palliative care unit after a 22 year battle against breast cancer.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 23 years Gary and daughter Melanie. As well as her mother Rita and siblings: Kathy (John), Mike (Esther), Christine (Steve), Paul (Leslie) and her numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father William (Bill).

She was a McMaster University graduate with a bachelors in psychology and an accomplished employee of Bell Canada for 43 years. In her free time she would participate in many sports like tennis, golf and skiing. She was also always a lover of sewing outfits for herself and Melanie as well as the hundreds of sock monkeys.

Thank you to Dr. Paula Fishman and the oncology team at North York General Hospital as well as the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital. In lieu of flowers, a gift in memory can be made in her name to the Breast Cancer Centre at North York General Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
