Susan Elizabeth Mullen, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on December 9th, 2023 at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice in Ottawa. She was 63 years old. Susan's departure was due to complications arising from liver failure and cancer.
Born on July 28th, 1960, Susan was the beloved daughter of Robert and Carol Mullen. She grew up in Ottawa and spent her formative years surrounded by the love and care of her family. Susan had a vibrant personality that touched the lives of those around her. Her warm heart and genuine compassion made her a pillar of strength.
A dedicated mother, Susan is survived by her loving son, Anthony Di Millo. Anthony brought immeasurable joy to Susan's life. She cherished their time spent together and created countless precious memories.

Susan was a devoted sister to her brothers Mark, Michael, and Patrick Mullen.
Micky held a special place in Susan's heart as her beloved dog until his passing on February 6th.
Susan had numerous close friends who were an integral part of her life – Betty-Ann, Julie, Linda, and Summer. These friendships were a source of strength and support during both joyous and challenging times.
In Susan's role as a godmother, she had the privilege of loving and guiding her goddaughters – Catrina, Victoria, and Alisha.
Susan had a zest for life that was evident in her passions. She found solace in literature, with a particular fondness for "Gone with the Wind" as her favorite movie. She also loved reading.
Rock and roll stirred Susan's spirit, with bands like The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, The Doobie Brothers, Neil Diamond, and David Bowie
To honor Susan's memory and the compassionate care she received at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice, donations can be made to support the important work of hospice care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturady, April 20, 2024 from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. at The Neighbourhood Pub located at 2557 Baseline Road, Ottawa, Ontario. This gathering will bring together family and friends to share stories of laughter shared, memories created, and a life well-lived.
