It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edwin John (Ted) Emms on March 24, 2025 at the age of 82, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer.
Ted passed peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, surrounded by his loving wife Brenda, sisters Irene and Jo-Anne, children Kim (Herwin), Kenny (Cindy), Christina (Mark), grandchildren Alfonso, Jack, Maggie and Emma. In spirit he was also joined by grandson Benny.
Ted was a man who always supported his family and friends unconditionally, providing strength, love, humour and guidance to all who crossed his path.
He was active for many years in local sports. Ted had a dedication to both playing and coaching. From baseball to hockey, broomball to horseshoes, Ted left a lasting impression on the local sports community.
A special thank you to his Bayshore home care nurse, Robyn Barrett for taking such good care of "our" Ted.
