MEREDITH, Harry Edmond Bidwell “Ted”
Ted Meredith passed on peacefully at age 91 on Saturday, August 31, 2013, in Ottawa with family by his side.
Born in Victoria, B.C., Ted grew up in Oak Bay, and enlisted at age 17 with the Royal Air Force serving in North Africa. His career with Trans-Canada Air Lines, later Air Canada, then the federal public service, concluded with his appointment to the Immigration and Refugee Board in 1988.
Predeceased by his first wife Louise and brothers John, David and Francis, Ted is survived by his loving wife Ying Ying and children Karen, Greg (Joanne), Diane, Pam and Leah (Darrin Denne) and eight grandchildren.
Requiem mass will be in Lupton Hall at the Perley and Rideau Centre, 1750 Russell Road, on Wednesday, September 4 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
Internment will follow at Hope Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Perley and
Rideau Centre for the care given Ted over this past year. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s society.
