At the village of Riverside Glen, Teresa Gelsinger passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 9, 2019 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Alexander Gelsinger (2011) and her loving son Douglas Gelsinger (2019). Loving mother of David (Gisela), Joanne Benoit, Brian (Debbie) Sharon (Nick) and daughter in-law Cathy Gelsinger. Adored grandmother of Cameron, Corina, Jana, Shanna, Jennifer, Justin, Ashley, Gordon, Ben & Kelsea. She will be missed by 11 great grand children and many nieces & nephews.
Teresa was born on August 11,1930 in New Waterford, NS. Predeceased by her parents Hugh Maclean & Kathleen Maclean (nee Campbell), siblings Frankie, Russell, George, and Bernie. She is survived by sisters Joan Mifsud, Anne Maclean and brother Raymond.
When Teresa retired from her job as Manager of United Cigar in Guelph, her and husband Al moved to Calgary for the summers and became snowbirds in Arizona for 16 years which they looked forward to every year.
The family of Teresa would like to thank Dr. Kennedy and the staff at The Village of Riverside Glen for providing love and care to Mama T since 2015.
Cremation has taken place, as per Teresa’s wishes.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation.
