Teresa Arlie Sarsfield

The family of Teresa Sarsfield are sad to announce her passing on July 13, 2022, in London, Ontario at the age of 63. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Arlie (Klabunde) Sarsfield of Sudbury, Ontario. Teresa was born April 20, 1959, in Noranda, Quebec and moved to Sudbury with her family when she was in Grade 4. She attended Lockerby High School in Sudbury and was active in Navy League Wrenettes and Sudbury Sea Cadets in her teenage years. In London she worked as an employee of Sears and later Costco on Wonderland.

She will be missed by her children, Mathew of Edmonton, David, and Vanessa Sarsfield of London. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren Jade, Harrison and Cohen Sarsfield, all of London. She will also be missed by her brothers and sisters and their families: Brian (Rose Mary) of Almonte, ON, Sharon (late Jean Roche) Nadeau of Rouyn-Noranda, QC, Michael of Sudbury, ON, John (Diana) of Warren, Michigan USA, George (Karen) of Calgary AB, Bridget Peplinski of Sudbury, ON. Teresa also had several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember her fondly.

Teresa’s family wish to extend a special thank you to her friends, especially Maggie and Claire for their care, especially during her later years.

Teresa will be remembered for her love of genealogy. In researching her maternal grandparents, Teresa made a few trips to the Ottawa Valley to learn more about the Klabunde – Mangan side of her family. Teresa enjoyed assembling jigsaw puzzles and getting together with family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. A family remembrance will be planned at a later date.
