As a steadfast husband, dedicated dad, and devoted grandfather Thomas (Tim) Ingram McDonald will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by his wife Carol (of 40 years), along with his children Matthew, Kathleen Coursey (Sam), Steven (Doreen). His grandchildren John McDonald, Jaxon and Gwenivere Coursey will miss him immensely. He will also be missed by his brothers Bradley (the late Margaret) and Gregory. Predeceased by his parents Helen and Ivan McDonald.
Tim loved his family in so many ways and cherished his time with them. His “Dad Jokes” will be missed along with his infectious laugh. His dedication to Scouting (over 30 years) and mentorship to so many young individuals has impacted their lives in so many positive ways. A sports enthusiast through and through, he was involved in his youth playing competitive baseball, basketball and football and then more recently as an avid spectator.
He was an intellect and would be our first choice to be on our team for Trivial Pursuit. Tim was an avid reader and Canadian History buff who loved jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and all types of brain teasers. He was an expert Bridge player and enjoyed his time with the Cliffcrest Bridge Club.
Our family would like to thank the caring Staff of 4A Scarborough Birchmount Hospital as well as the compassionate team at the Yee Hong Peter K. Kowk Hospice who treated Tim with gentleness, respect, dignity and the utmost care in his final days.
