Thomas (Tom) James Thomson:
July 6, 1934 to October 23, 2024
At the age of 90, Tom passed away on October 23, 2024. Tom worked as a Lineman with the Barrie Public Utilities Commission from 1965 to1994. Throughout the many cold winters, Tom (aka Tippy) could be found at the Barrie hockey arena. Whether it be tiptoeing across the ice as the trainer for one of the Barrie Rep teams or just to enjoy watching the game. Tom also loved fishing and hunting. He spent many hours on Lake Simcoe sitting in a fish hut or in a boat and many fall days at "The Hunt Camp".
Tom was predeceased by his wife, Nancy, in 2013. He continued to live in their home on Lake Simcoe until the time of his death. Tom is survived by his 4 children, Doug Thomson (Vira) New Westminster, BC; Lynne Stewart (Gray) Ottawa, ON; Rick Thomson (Debbie) Innisfil, ON; Sandy Burgess (Kalvin) Oro-Medonte, ON. Tom had 3 grandchildren (Candice, Andrea and Jodie) and 3 great grandchildren (Callie, Cade and Jace). Survived by his sisters Leone McDonald (Wray), Merle Strong (James) and Elva Middleton (Brian), and his sister-in-laws Donna Thomson, Wendy Thomson and Yvonne Middleton. Predeceased by Elda Jean Ward (Elmer), John Middleton (Betty), Alvin Thomson (Carol), Rena Fidler (William), Lorne Thomson, Kelly Thomson and Dick Middleton.

As Alzheimers changed Tom and Nancy's life drastically, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be welcomed.
