In Loving Memory of Veljko Milanovic

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest and loved, Veljko Milanovic. Veljko passed away peacefully at his home on October 15, 2023 at the age of 86.

Veljko is survived by his wife, Gordana, his son, Dejan, his daughter, Bojana (Milos) and treasured grandsons Stefan and Pavle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anica and Mile, and beloved siblings, Kosa, Vojka, Jovanka and Radovan.

Veljko lived a fulfilling and joyous life, bringing kindness and compassion everywhere he went. He was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends and cherished every opportunity to gather for celebrations. He enjoyed reflecting on memories and sharing words of wisdom from his life experiences.  Throughout his whole life, he possessed a remarkable gift for helping others, without any judgement or preconceptions. He valued hard work, gaining knowledge and strived to keep learning everyday. His smile and positivity has touched many worldwide and will continue to serve as an example of the benefits of living with love, optimism and honesty.

As per his wishes, Veljko will be buried in Belgrade, Serbia at a later date. A memorial prayer service (opelo) will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 2pm at All Serbian Saints Orthodox Church, 2520 Dixie Road Mississauga, ON, L4Y 2A5 followed by a reception at the church hall.
