Vera Lee

Vera Irene Lee (nee Kelly) 1917-2016 There is another bright star in the universe. Vera passed away peacefully on 29th February, 2016. Predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mrytle Kelly, her sisters, Edna Burrill (Weldon), Alma McKinley (John) and Cora Munn (Alex) and her husband, Russell R. Lee. She is survived by her children, Sharon MacIntyre (Neil) and Warren Lee (Andrea), her grandchildren Tim (Lisa) and Todd (Jennifer) and her 5 great grandchildren, Bethany, Mariah, Josiah, Noah & Isaiah and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Lumyhna & Jackson and her many nieces and nephews. She was a gentle soul with a big, kind heart and she will be remembered for enjoying a good giggle and wonderful home cooked meals with her huge family. She was a country girl through and through and loved being outdoors. It’s sad to see her go and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. Our sincerest thanks to the staff of the O’Neill Center in Toronto where Vera has been for the last 9 years. She was treated with great respect and kindness and received very good care. Thank you all. Vera`s remains have been cremated and will be interred beside Russ at a later date in the Burgessville Baptist Church Cemetery. A celebration of her life is being held on Saturday, May 14th, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Westin Bristol Place, Toronto Airport, 950 Dixon Road, Toronto, Ontario. In lieu of flowers and if desired, donations in Vera’s memory, may be made to the CNIB or the Alzheimer’s Society.
