Vincent Gerald Notaro

After a brief illness with Pancreatic Cancer, it is with great sadness to announce the passing of my beloved husband, Vincent Gerald Notaro (liked to be called Vince, Grandpa, Papa Vince and some called him Vinny) , in Cornwall, ON. He is survived by his wife Nancy Burke Notaro and his sisters Joanne and Sandy (Stephen), his children Christiana (Manny), Steven (Emily), and his step children Linda-Marlene (Danny), David, and Jennifer (Dan). He had many grandchildren Andrew, Mackenzie, Ryan, Suzanne, William, Adam and step grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Autumn, Allison, Justin, Tristan, Isabel, Olivia , Michelle, Mia and 2 great grandchildren, Lukas and Riley. He is also survived by his sisters-in laws Joanne (Bob), Elaine (Ken) and brothers-in-law Danny (Ellen) and Wally and his nieces and nephews, Jason, Tracy, Tammy, Daniel, Audrey, Katherine and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by his father Armand Notaro and his mother Theresa Aube. He also leaves his fur buddy Bailey.

He was loved by so many and known as “The Chef”. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining. He always had to be the host. No one ever left our home hungry. He had a few hobbies, bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting. He was a good Euchre player, and created his “own rules”, which was called Vince’s rules. If they weren’t followed, he would give you the stink eye. His best friends Mike and Rayelle, thought his rules were quite hilarious and Rayelle would make fun, stating Vince’s rule page 89, section 10, sub-section 6, that it states...never send a boy to do a man’s job.

He had his best hunting buddy, who he called his brother, Gerry (Deanna), that he looked forward to going to the hunt camp. He had so many stories when he came back for things that happened at the hunt camp, mainly with other people that went up north with them. He would build a fire in the morning and have coffee ready for when the others woke up. He always said going to the hunt camp was for hunting, but I’m guessing it was mostly a guy’s thing to spend with Gerry.

He was kindhearted and would give and give and not expect anything in return. He took pleasure in seeing their smiling faces.

He is missed by so many of his family and friends and co-workers from ISN

As per his wishes, he is being cremated, and a memorial service to be held, at a later date, in Cornwall, ON. An invitation will be sent.
