Violet Mildred Lucas (Vie) passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Extendicare Laurier Manor, Ottawa, Ontario, in her 79th year.
Daughter of Ruby and Frank Lucas, predeceased.
Beloved mother of Ann-Marie Howard (George); Carol Wilkinson (Russell); Robbin Graves; Heather Cook (Merlin); Linda Cluett (Jim); Patricia Sweet (Darryl) and Derek Lucas (David). Proud grandmother to 16 beautiful grandchildren and even prouder great grandmother to 8 fabulous great grandchildren.
Survived by her loving sister Sylvia Dumbelton.
Celebration of her life is Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 354 Gladstone Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario at 2:00pm.
Memorial donations in her name can be made to The Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
“We are reminded how precious life is, no matter how we have conducted ourselves, or disappoint each other, we are family, and we sometimes need to remember that when we lose one, we lose a piece of ourselves, and in this case, we lose a piece of history that cannot be replaced. We love you Mom, you will be immortal because each of us takes a piece of you and pass it down through our children, and you will forever be remembered. As I always said to you, and as I said to you this morning, behave yourself, and do what you’re told, and if you can’t, then give’em hell! I’ll miss you so much.”
