Vivian Edigo Valarino passed away at St. Michael’s Hospital on Saturday, May 23 at the age of 55 after a very short unexpected illness.
Beloved wife of Bernhard Berends. Loving mother to Mikeal. Survived by her parents, Eladio Jose Edigo Salvarrey and Maria Eugenia Vilarino Pedraraja, her sister Karen, granddaughter Samantha as well as extended family and friends in Cuba, Mexico and Germany.
In 2007 Vivian married Bernhard and immigrated to Canada from her native Cuba. She was welcomed into the Berends family by Bernhard's children Anna, Andre (Josée), and grandchildren Carina, Nikolas and Miguel. Bernhard misses her very much. Vivian was a loving wife and caring woman.
Friends may call on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service beginning at 4:00 p.m. at St. John's Norway Cemetery and Crematorium in the Chapel, 265 Kingston Road (corner of Woodbine), Toronto, Ontario.
The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses and critical care team at St. Michaels Hospital for the compassionate care she received.
