Wanbin passed away peacefully at Ottawa General Hospital, on Monday morning of September 23, 2019, at the age of 90. He was the beloved eldest son of Seje Park and Unkoo Kim. Wanbin is survived by his lifetime wife Jaeyoung, three sons Andrew (Juliana), Frank (Tracey) and Augustine (Judith), grandsons Anthony, and Ethan, and granddaughters Alison, Jade and Sara, and two nieces Amy Hee-Yun and Nancy Hee-Joo. He is also predeceased by his sister Mi-Bin and survived by his brother Soo-Bin (Young-Sook) and Sister Rosalia Sook-Ja. Born in Korea, Wanbin, his wife, Jaeyoung and their children immigrated to Canada in 1975 and lived in Toronto for 20 years. In 1995, they moved to Ottawa to be with his two sons Andrew and Augustine already living in Ottawa since 1992. During his working career in Toronto, Wanbin was a senior designer/technologist for 20 years at numerous architecture firms. In Ottawa, he and his wife owned and operated a convenience store. They officially retired in 2004 and embarked on many international trips to USA, Mexico, Korea and Europe to "see the world" enjoying their golden retirement years. The Park family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at Ottawa General Hospital, and Alta Vista Riviera Senior Residence, Long Term Care Facility for their support and care for Wanbin over the last few years. The Roman Catholic funeral mass will be held on September 28, 2019 at 1pm at the Hope Cemetery and Crematorium.
