Wayne Frederick Ryman

April 7, 1964 — May 31, 2020

Wayne Frederick Ryman born April 7th 1964 in Toronto passed suddenly on May 31, 2020.

He is survived by and will be truly missed by his mother, Nancy Page and father, Wayne Ryman, Step-mother Julia Ryman and his beloved Daughter, Angeline Asimakis, step-daughter, Southern Lopponen, his half-sister, Stacey, Kathy and brother Daren as well as many Aunts, Uncles, cousins in both the Ryman and the Page Families.  He also leaves behind so many wonderful and devoted friends.

Wayne was a “Jack of all Trades” from landscaping, builder, cook, waiter, bartender to Heavy Equipment.  He loved camping, fishing, campfires and country roads, especially near Rice Lake. For the past 10 years, he worked in Alberta as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the Oil Sands. He returned from Alberta last summer straddling his shining red motorcycle, decked out in leathers, bandana and helmet with a very big smile just so glad to be home.

He had charm, charisma, personality a beautiful smile, a bit of a Ladies man, and let’s not forget “good looks” hence the nickname “Hollywood”. People would comment at how much he looked like Clint Eastwood. Wayne would like to think he was as Badass as Clint, and on a few occasions I think he probably was.

He grew up with the joy of many large family gatherings we shared over the years and in all honesty with a different lady on his arm every time. Lately, it’s only been the three of us.  Wayne especially enjoyed being with his daughter, Angeline, and me, his “Mommy”.  Mind you not always harmoniously but Angeline and I always felt the love.

Not many would know this about Wayne but he had his faith. He often read the bible and last summer he went to church almost every Sunday. The day Wayne was cremated his horoscope read: “This is going to be a day of wide-open spaces.  Great horizons will be opening up before you and you will be observing people, the city and the country from a point of view that is extremely gentle and warm.  It will be a little like you are an immortal who has gained much wisdom after having lived.”  Mine read that same day: “No one really knows what is around the corner, take things now one day at a time.”

A memorial will be held,  more information is to be announced. COVID – 19 rules apply.

In the tradition of the Page family, a shot and a beer will be raised to honour Wayne’s passing at some point during the memorial.

Wayne, you will be missed and loved by many and always in our hearts.  Godspeed.
