Weldon Lair

Weldon Lair Died Peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital surrounded by the love of his family on Monday September 5th at the age of 80. Weldon Lair born in Pembroke, Ontario beloved husband of 58 years, Claudette Morin-Lair the love of his life.

Beloved father of Michael Lair (Chantal Houle), Late Daniel Lair, Isabelle Lair-Bauer (Timothy Bauer), Rachel Lair (Mark Butler). Brother of Late Donald Lair (Late Margaret), and the late Linda Gagne (late Raymond), and the late Rene Lair (late Dorothy), Elaine Clouthier (Richard), Carol Hammel (late Stewart). In-Laws Henry Morin and Claire Morin (René). Predeceased by his parents and in-Laws Isadore and Vienna (nee Belaire) Lair, Arthur Morin, Marie Laure Vallerand.

Grandchildren: Jonathan (Marie-Lise), Mathieu (Simran), Chloé, Ryan, Brayden, Ethan, Owen, Logan and great granddaughter Nickytha.

Many Nephews and Nieces, friends and colleagues.

Weldon retired from Welding in Delson, Quebec and moved to St-Andrews West, Ontario to be closer to family. He loved his family fiercely and with all his heart, he was a hardworking man, who would move mountains to help family and friends. There was nothing he couldn’t do or figure out a solution for. His smile and bright blue eyes would bring a smile to anyone. Weldon loved to Travel to Wisconsin, Dance, fish and loved watching his grandsons play sports especially his favorite Hockey team – The South Stormont Selects.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Weldon with his family during visitation at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2 Helen Street, Cornwall, Ontario, Canada on Saturday September 17th, visitation at 11:00am, service to begin at 12:00 noon, following with a luncheon at the church.
