William "Bill" John Young

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bill at his home in the care of his beloved wife of 52 years and best friend Laura Mae Young (Cameron) on December 12, 2023. 

Predeceased by his parents, John and Alma Young (Miller). Loving father to: Kelly (Casey), Jason (Ivonne) and Melissa (Joe) and proudest grand father to: Samatha, Andrew and Deacon.  Dear brother to: Peter (Colette) and Susan (Robert) Gibson. Beloved father figure to: Rachel and Jenna and grandfather figure to: Kingsley, Emilio and Kassandra. Bill was loved by numerous relatives and friends, his presence will be greatly missed by those close to him. He was adored by many.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Bayshore Home Health of Cornwall for their care and compassion.

A service will be held at The North Russell Union Cemetery on December 20th at 11:00, reception to follow at the Russell Curling Club. Memorial donations to a local food bank or food cupboard are appreciated.
