William David Lafferty

It is with deep sorrow and regret that the family announces the sudden passing of William David Lafferty (David, or "Sonny" to many in his family) at his home in Ottawa, Ontario on July 2, 2018. David is survived by his loving family: wife of 19 years Vania, beloved children Nickolas and Laura, mother Maureen, three siblings Lisa (Jim), Craig (Kelly), and Derek (Heather), his paternal grandmother Beth, as well as his father- and mother-in-law Jaime and Henriqueta Borges Do Amaral. David was predeceased by his father Dave, his grandfathers, and his maternal grandmother Anne (who was so happy to learn on Mother's Day 2004 of David & Vania's first pregnancy before passing away in June).
David was well-loved by so many and took a big part of our hearts with him. He will be mourned and forever missed by numerous friends, co-workers, and members of his Lafferty, Walterhouse, Prost, Farand and Amaral families. He will always be remembered as he lives on in his children and the happy memories we all share.

At David’s request, there will be no funeral; however, a Memorial Mass will be held at Divine Infant Parish in Orleans on July 26, 2018 at 7:30 pm.

In lieu of floral tributes, the family would gratefully welcome any notes/pictures of your fond memories/thoughts of David, which will be compiled into a Memory Album for David's children.
