McConville, William John James (Billy)
Passed away peacefully at home on May 1st, 2017 in his 66th year.
Loving partner of Maryanne Desjardins. Beloved father of Anna-Faye Trevena-McConville (Jayce), Kurt and Tyler Sheppard (Angie). Brother of Patti, John (Rose), Eileen Dumbrell (Ross), Faye Lavergne (Robert) and Bruce (Jennifer). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Proud grandfather of Teagan, Ayden, Nicholas, Abby, Lachlan and Kallach. Son of the late John McConville and the late Georgette McConville (nee Boudreault).
Billy was an entrepreneur in his early days, owner of B&T Express Moving. Over the years, he managed several bars, drove taxi, and most recently retired and worked for Milanos Pizza, part-time.
He attended Our Lady of Assumption primary school and André Laurondo (Vanier) and Tech High (Ottawa) Schools.
The family would like to thank all extended family and friends who have provided comfort during this difficult time and have made gracious offerings to help with his funeral and Celebration of Life Memorial.
In lieu of flowers, the family will have a contribution table at the Moose Lodge. We are asking for pocket offerings to help with funeral costs.

Billy was a big advocate for the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind and Ottawa Food Bank. Any leftover donations will be graciously donated to both charities.
A Celebration of Life will be held at "The Royal Order of Moose" (Moose Lodge) on Saturday May 13th. Located at 303 Kendall Av, Vanier, ON K1L 7S7. Dinner will be served at 5:00pm followed by a service, led by Rev. Matthew Gallinger, at 6:30pm. The service will be followed by an open mic for immediate family and close friends as well as live music from Billy's favourite local bands and musicians. All family and friends are welcome to attend. Billy's ashes will be interned at Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date to be determined.
