William Potrok (Bill, Viliam)
November 25, 1945 – July 29, 2017
Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, July 29 at the age of 71. William, beloved husband of 47 years to Vincencia (nee Kmetova). Much loved father of sons Lubos and Milan (Bonnie). Proud dedko (grandfather) to Tristan, Emily, and Julia. Constant companion to cherished family dog, Cleo. Youngest of 4 sons to predeceased father Teofil Potrok and mother Zofia Potrok (nee Kucharovic) of Slovakia.
In 1981, escaped from communist Czechoslovakia and settled in Canada with his young family in hope of a better life. His love, generosity, and kindness will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
We invite you to visit with our family on Thursday, August 10th at Meadowvale Funeral Centre (7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, ON). All friends, colleagues, and acquaintances of the family are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or any charity of your choice.
