William (Bill) Leroy Theriault born in Digby, Nova Scotia on May 18, 1944 and passed away February 17, 2023 at the age of 78 in Stittsville, Ontario.
Bill was always passionate about life and over the years he was heavily involved in organizations that gave back to his community. He became a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, the Coordinator for the Digby Emergency Measure Organization, member of the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association, volunteer fire fighter, ambulance driver, school bus driver, fire tower operator for Natural Resources and one of his proudest accomplishments was to work as an Auxiliary RCMP member.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time outdoors but it was always more about spending time with family and friends. Laughter was always such a big part of who he was. We have many great memories of good times. The happiness he spread will always be remembered.
Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years Alice; two sons Bill (Heather) and John (Tara); six loving grandchildren Hannah (Brandon), Logan (Taylor), Torin, Logan, Marley (Ahmed) and JJ; and three beautiful great granddaughters Payton, Aurora and Ella who lovingly called him “Pampie”.
Bill is also survived by his sister Marie (Leroy), two brothers Leigh (Lesa) and Danny (Anna) and his sister-in-law Irma; by his wife’s family Barbara, Russell (Tillie) Geraldine (William) and his brother-in-law Donnie as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by his parents John and Estella, brothers Harry and Paul and maternal parents Russell and Tena brother-in-law Clarence and sister-in-law Theresa.
Respecting Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Family flowers only; as an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Lung Association or a charity of your choice.

Memories in the Heart
Feel no guilt in laughter, he knows how much you care
Feel no sorrow in a smile that he’s not here to share
You cannot grieve forever, he would not want you to
He’d hope that you can carry on, the way you always do
So talk about the good times and the ways you showed you cared
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared
Let memories surround you.
A word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day
That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here
And fills you with the feelings that he is always near
For if you keep these moments, you will never be apart
And he will live forever locked safe within your heart
