Winnifred (Wynne) Rose Slobojin (nee Myers)
Wynne passed away in her 94th year in the early morning hours of August, 21st, 2019, at home in London, Ontario, with her daughter by her side, just as she wanted.
She was born November 16, 1925, to Leslie and Judith (Gardner) Myers, their third child and only daughter.
Wynne fell in love with, and married William Harold Slobojin on March 1, 1947.
Oh, how she loved to shop! This led her to a career in retail sales, specializing in Ladies Fashions, working in downtown London and East London for many years.
She is survived by her son, Kim Slobojin (Kathy), and daughter, Karen Drake, both of London. She also leaves behind her favorite (and only) grandchild, Rachel Ary (Quincy), of Deer Park, Texas.
Wynne was predeceased by her father Leslie Myers, 1967; mother Judith Myers, 1980; brothers Cliff, 1983; & Jack, 1988, and husband, Harold Slobojin, 2002.
She leaves behind many friends, notably long-time buddy Dorothy Murphy, and members of the Forest Hills Proudfoot Seniors Club; also many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Our family would like to express our sincere thanks to all of you who kept in contact with Mom during her last few weeks, sending cards, calling, and coming to visit. She so appreciated each one of you.
In honoring Mom's final wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Heart and Stroke foundation, or other charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
