Wladyslaw Zukowski, 94, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s hospital in Toronto, On May 18, 2016. He is survived by his daugther Kristine Mazzulla, son John Zukowski, Grandchildren, Yola, Julie, Jason, Son in laws, Gus and Illias, Great grandchildren, Romeo, Massimo, Anastatia. Walter was born in Poland on Oct.27, 1921. He survived World War II in the concentration camps and was part of the Red Cross. He then lived, worked, and married Anna Zofia in Swedan. They both then came to Canada for a better life. He then worked for Canada Metal until retirement. Walter worked very hard and was very successful. He enjoyed building and fixing things, growing his garden, and of course fishing at the cottage. He worked hard for his family and always was there to support them. He definitely had an extraordinary life. Dziadziu will be greatly missed, but cherished memories will endure. There will be a private celebration of life for the family.
