Wolfgang Lausch - 1954-2024

Wolfgang Lausch, age 70, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in his home in Alcona on November 30, 2024. He was recently predeceased by his wife, Carol Biesel, with whom he shared twenty happy years. He was a loving father, devoted grandfather, and a cherished friend.

He was born on March 1, 1954 in Berlin, Germany to parents Max Lausch and Edith Lausch (née Bucher). He was the proud father of two sons, Matthew (Sarah) and Anthony (Shawna), and a devoted grandfather to his cherished granddaughter, Charlotte. He took great joy in watching his family grow and thrive, and his love will continue to resonate in their hearts. Wolfgang was known for his handiness, work ethic, outgoing personality, and deep love for his family. He enjoyed nature, his many pets throughout the years and all varieties of home improvement projects. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, a word of advice, and a joke with family, friends, and strangers alike. 

Wolfgang requested no funeral service be held however an internment will be scheduled at a later date where Wolfgang will be laid to rest beside his beloved Carol in the Riverside Cemetery in New Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Wolfgang’s honour, to the Canadian Wildlife Federation or Nature Conservancy Canada, two causes that were close to Wolfgang’s heart.

His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him, but his memory will live on through his children, granddaughter, and the countless friends and family members whose lives he touched. Rest in peace, Wolfgang. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
