Witnessing of Cremation
Witnessing a cremation gives families the opportunity to gather at the crematorium in order to be present for the beginning of the cremation process. The witnessing of a cremation can follow a traditional funeral service or take place as an independent ceremony. At the gathering, a clergy person or officiant may be present to offer a prayer or say a few words. Typically, the service ends soon after the cremation has begun.
