St. John’s Dixie

St. John’s Dixie is a beautiful cemetery set in the heart of Mississauga and is home to a newly built chapel that is absolutely stunning. Different sized chapels allow for small, medium and large funerals, memorials and tailored services. There is also a reception facility and crematorium on-site.

The Willow Room

Capacity: 200

Fee: $775.00 for 3 hour minimum

Gather with family and friends for refreshments after a service or burial in the newly renovated Willow Room. It offers a spacious, bright open space and can be used for several types of services. Host a Memorial Service, reception or even a small family gathering. The room can be set up chapel style for services or kept as-is with 18 round tables and 4 buffet tables. The Willow Room offers plenty of seating as well as a serving area for food and another for coffee and tea.

Not sure what to order? Please ask about their catering menu. They also offer wine and beer options. Coffee and Tea are included with room rental and hostesses assist with setting out food and clean up.

The Willow Room is rented in 3-hour increments. The kitchen is equipped with a large commercial refrigerator and warming ovens. 

To create a special ambience, they offer a special virtual window. The virtual window projects a variety of images, such as Purple Mountain Flowers, Zen Garden Pond, North Shore Waves, Campfire and more.


The Sandalwood Room

Capacity: 25

Fee: $150/half hour
$300/hour

Freshly renovated small chapel, the Sandalwood Room, can seat up to 30 people. It bids guests “Welcome … and be comforted” and is used primarily for short committal services prior to a cremation, allowing you to spend a few final moments with your loved one. It can also be rented for services where smaller groups are expected.

A custom-built podium installed with a built-in speaker can accommodate music when using an auxiliary cord.
Please note food and drink is not permitted in the chapel.

The Magnolia Room

Capacity: 300 or 80-180

Fee: $600.00 for 2 hour minimum

The Magnolia Room seats up to 300 people and can be divided in half for more intimate-sized groups. A vaulted wooden beam ceiling creates a wide-open, airy feeling, and natural light streams through two floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests can look out at tranquil green space and in springtime, the Magnolia tree is in full bloom just outside the window. The Magnolia Room is home to a grand piano which can be used for services, and a large screen is available for slide shows. The space was designed to serve a diverse multi-faith community.
Please note food and drink is not permitted in the chapel, the Primrose Room which is open to the public is available for coffee, tea and light refreshments.
